Shoham simply turned up at the farm: someone left her by the gate.
After a week of enquiries, we learned that she had fallen from a truck on the way to slaughter.
An animal advocate on her way to an event had picked her up. Still dressed for the occasion, she jumped out of her car, went into the bushes, carried Shoham back to the car and brought her to the farm.
